Coming August 2025, East Brother Beer Co. is setting up shop at the Metreon, bringing award-winning beer brewed in Richmond down to SF proper. And not just a corner pour station, we're talking full send: two patios, fire pits, bar games, and an actual reason to stick around SoMa after 6pm.
What We’re Building: A Taproom with Grit and Game
This isn’t your buddy’s overpriced cocktail lounge. It’s a taproom with a bit of attitude and a whole lot of room to relax. You’ll find:
🔥 Fire pits outside for sunset hangs and late-night debates
🕹️ Skee-ball, foosball, darts, pool – because beer is more fun when there’s a scoreboard
🍺 Our full beer lineup, from crisp Bohemian Pilsners to bold Red IPAs
🧱 Concrete, wood, and classic vinyls on the wall – no Edison bulb clichés here
It’s the kind of place you can wear your work boots or your Patagonia fleece and still feel right at home.

Because SoMa needs a taproom with some damn personality. Something unpretentious, built to last, and down to get a little rowdy if the Niners are on. East Brother’s has always been about beer without the BS, and the Metreon gives us a place to bring that to the city, loud and proud.

Bo Pilsner – Clean, crisp, crushable
Gold IPA – Hoppy, balanced, west coast classic
Oatmeal Stout – Dark, roasty, and smooth like Sunday mornings
Red IPA / Red Lager – The unsung heroes of beer drinkers who know what’s up
