Fumble-proof beers for game day

We’re offering some easy tips to make sure you’re a Super Bowl super host because let’s face it, some of us are here for the game, but most of us are here for the beer and bites. Not all beer is created equal, so we’ve narrowed down choosing the perfect beer to four simple steps.

Keep the Gravity Low

Just like the players on screen, a Super Bowl watch party is all about endurance - we’re in it for the long run. Your guests might not make it past the first quarter if your beers are high gravity (read, high ABV). Our brewers recommend starting things off with a beer that’s around 4-5% ABV. You’ll be able to enjoy a couple of these beers without burning out too early.  If you’re looking for some suggestions, our Red Lager is an excellent choice, and it’s really great with pizza!  - order it on Drizly or Instacart.

Don’t Rush the Passer

Let’s face it- we’re all here for the food…and ads. If you bring beers that are too hoppy, your guests’ taste buds will get sacked, and they won’t be able to appreciate all the nuances of that bean dip. If your beers are too heavy, your guests will fill up quickly, and you’ll be stuck with a million pretzels. Our taproom manager suggests going with light, crisp beers. They’ll cleanse the palette and get you ready for the next bite. You can’t go wrong with our Bo Pils - order it on Drizly or Instacart.

A beer for everyone

A Super Bowl watch party isn’t the place for experimental beers. You’ll likely have guests with many different beer tastes, so while you should aim to have a little something for everyone, keep the bulk of your beer purchases to the classics, something everyone can enjoy. Our Bo Pils or Gold IPA would be perfect crowd pleasers - order them on Drizly or Instacart

Eat your Beer

Call an audible by incorporating beer into some of the food you serve. One of the best ways to make sure that a beer “complements” the food you’re serving is to incorporate it into the recipe. Check out this recipe our friends over at Kinder’s developed for Beer Cheese using one of our beers here. It makes the perfect dip for…well, everything really. Head over to Instacart and get everything you need for this recipe delivered right to your door.
